Mango Sunrise Smoothie

This Mango Sunrise Smoothie tastes incredibly tropical.  It’s like being on vacation right in your kitchen.

More delicious breakfast ideas you could pair with this smoothie, Protein PancakesChicken Crust Pizza, and Egg Muffins.

This is filling, like really filling, so it leaves you feeling full during the morning (which is something that I really appreciate). But the best part is that it’s really easy and quick to make.

We love all things home decor and DIY, but we also love RECIPES. While we will continue to share our latest and greatest remodeling projects we want to start sharing some really yummy recipes once a week. Enjoy the recipes and know that we are still Remodelaholics.

This Mango Sunrise Smoothie will get everyone awake and out the door in no time. Packed with flavor, and super nutritious, it is the best way to start your mornings on the right foot.

Around here we are breakfast people — we like the hearty filling breakfasts that make weekends so good. You know, pancakes, waffles, and the occasional bowl of oatmeals.

So smoothies (and all juices for that matter) were never a staple around here.

That is, until this season of eating healthier and trying to include more fruits and fresh ingredients into our diet came around. Suddenly, I found myself testing all the smoothie recipes I could find.

But man, finding a good one was hard! They were either too thick or tasted too healthy (if you know what I mean) or needed a million +1 ingredients.

And then, defeated after so much recipe testing and just about to desist of my quest, I came up with this recipe. And, oh my gosh, this mango sunrise smoothie almost wins over all those heavier breakfasts that we know and love so much.

This is good my friends, this is really good. It’s such a bright, refreshing way to start the day or fill up for a snack.

You can also create freezer packets of it. Just add all the solid ingredients into a Ziploc bag and once you are ready to drink add them to the blender along with the orange juice, milk, and grenadine and pulse until done.

Even without the packets, it only takes around 3 minutes of prep time and that’s for a blender glass full of yummy deliciousness!

Ingredients

  • Mangos
  • Banana
  • Orange juice
  • Milk
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Grenadine syrup
  • Ice

How To Make a Mango Sunrise Smoothie

  1. Peel the fruits and cut into small pieces.
  2. Place fruit chunks in the blender and pulse briefly.
  3. Add orange juice, sesame seeds, grenadine syrup, and ice to the mango mixture.
  4. Blend the ingredients together in a high-speed blender (or food processor) until completely combined.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Variations

  • Fruit: Swap out some or all of the mango for others that you prefer. Some that we enjoy are strawberries, a large nectarine, blueberries, peach slices, and raspberries.
  • Juice: Use a different citrus juice like grapefruit.
  • Milk: Instead of dairy, use coconut milk, soy milk, almond milk, oat milk, or the alternative milk of your choice.
  • Thickness: For a thicker consistency try using Greek yogurt.
  • Vanilla: For vanilla flavor, add vanilla extract before blending.

Storage

Mango smoothies are best consumed immediately or stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. If you do have leftover smoothie, you can store it in the refrigerator for a few hours but you may need to reblend it.
