Non-Alcoholic Summer Fruit Punch

This Non Alcoholic Sangria refreshing and light, and you get to eat the fruit too. That is definitely one of the best parts. For this recipe, we’re using a combination of stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, cherries, plums) because they are what we most associate with summer.

Ingredients:

  • 32 ounces peach nectar or other fruit juice
  • 2 peaches, peeled and pitted and thinly sliced
  • 2 nectarines, peeled and pitted and thinly sliced
  • 3 black or red plums, pitted and sliced
  • 3 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • A few fresh herb sprigs (rosemary, thyme, basil, mint, sage), optional
  • 1-2 tablespoons apple cider or champagne vinegar, optional
  • Chilled still water, sparkling water or juice, lemon-lime soda, or club soda, for serving
  • For serving — extra freshly sliced peaches and nectarines
  • Fresh herbs, for garnish, optional

Directions:

  1. Place all of the fruit into a very large pitcher. Pour the nectar or juice over the fruit and stir so everything is submerged. Add herb sprig and/or vinegar, if using. Refrigerate, covered if possible, for several hours or overnight.
  2. Just before serving, remove any fruit that is overly mushy or dark in color, if desired. Transfer the fruit and the juice to a punch bowl or beverage dispenser. Add freshly sliced fruit to the bowl and add still or sparkling water, juice, or soda to the bowl. Stir well. And let guests serve themselves.
  3. For individual servings, add the sparkling or still water or juice, or soda to the pitcher and stir well. Spoon a little fruit into the glasses and ladle or pour sangria over the top. Garnish as desired. Serve immediately.

Note: You can use juice concentrate in place of the juice/nectar. Don’t reconstitute as carton directions say. Add only enough water so fruit is covered. Add extra water, if needed, along with sparkling water or juice just before serving.

  • If you do not want it so sweet, start with 1 Tablespoon of Agave and continue adding to taste.
  • Refrigerate your rosé wine, peach nectar, fruits, and club soda at least a day before making this, so everything is nice and chilled.
  • Sangria gets better the longer it sits. Give the sangria time to chill in the fridge, for at least two hours before serving. You can wait even longer so the flavors meld together.

Peach Sangria Slushies

Say hello to peach sangria slushies…sangria blended with fresh peaches and served ice cold!

  • Prep: 30 mins
  • Freeze: 6 hrs
  • 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 750 ml bottle white wine
  • 1/2 cup peach schnapps peach liqueur
  • 3/4 cup peach vodka
  • 1 lb fresh peaches
  • 1/2 cup agave nectar
  • Garnish with fresh peach wedges raspberries and green grapes

Instructions

  1. Combine wine, peach liqueur and peach vodka in a 9×13 inch pan and freeze at least 6 hours or overnight.
  2. Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil and make x’s in the bottoms of each of the peaches. Place into the boiling water and boil for 2 mins.
  3. Fill a bowl with ice water and plunge the peaches into the cold water and let stand for 2-3 mins.
  4. Remove the peels from the peaches with a pairing knife, then halve and remove the pits. Slice into wedges and lay on a plastic wrap lined cookie sheet and freeze.
  5. Place the frozen peaches and frozen wine mixture (it won’t be fully frozen because of the alcohol content) into a blender with the agave syrup.
  6. Blend until slushy and pour into glasses, garnish and serve.

Recipe Notes

  • This recipe is all about planning ahead! You can freeze your peach slices and wine mixture up to a week in advance.
  • Peaches are notoriously a pain to peel, but a quick dunk in boiling water makes it a cinch.
  • If you have really ripe and sweet peaches you may want to reduce the amount of agave. Start with just half, taste, and adjust.
  • If you can’t find peach vodka, regular vodka may be substituted.

Peach Sangria with Ginger Ale

This Ginger Peach Sangria has it all! Sweet summer stone fruit, peach nectar, wine, and a fresh ginger simple syrup for some spicy sweetness. It’s incredibly refreshing and can be made ahead. It checks off all the boxes for easy summer cocktailing!

  • Prep: 15 mins
  • Chill: 30 mins
  • Yield: 6 servings

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE GINGER SYRUP:
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 (3-inch) piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
FOR THE SANGRIA:
  • 1 (10-oz) bag frozen sliced peaches
  • 1 (10-oz) bag frozen strawberries
  • 1 (750-mL) bottle of dry white wine, chilled (I love pinot grigio for this)
  • 1 cup canned peach nectar (look for it in the shelf-stable juice section of the store)
  • ½ cup brandy
  • 1½ cups ginger ale, chilled (ginger beer also works)
  • 1½ cups club soda or sparkling water, chilled
OPTIONAL GARNISHES:
  • Fresh peach or plum slices
  • Fresh pitted cherries
  • Fresh mint sprigs

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR THE GINGER PEACH SYRUP:
  1. Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan and set over medium heat. Bring to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar completely dissolves.
  2. Add the fresh ginger and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and allow the syrup to cool completely to room temperature. The ginger will steep in the hot syrup as it cools and impart amazing flavor. Discard the ginger before using in the sangria.
FOR THE SANGRIA:
  1. To a large pitcher, add half of the frozen fruit, the ginger syrup, wine, peach nectar, and brandy. Stir to combine everything and then place the pitcher in the fridge for about 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld and the fruit to sort of marinate.
  2. Take the pitcher out of the fridge, add the remaining frozen fruit and the ginger ale and club soda. Stir to combine and then serve! I like this sangria over lots of ice. Garnish with fresh peach and plum slices, cherries, or mint sprigs.

NOTES

  • This works best if all the ingredients are chilled before mixed together.
  • The sangria base can be made up to 8 hours ahead of time. Keep cold until you are ready to serve. The frozen fruit will do double duty and keep the sangria icy cold!
